One of our Melbourne artists asked us if we could change her name on Street Art Cities from “Katherine Gailer” to “Katira Art” which is her new Insta handle and how she signs her pieces.
We’ve changed all the artworks, but could you please delete the now empty “Katherine Gailer” stub.

Walking in the streets of my city, I saw some pixel artworks for Invader.
Invader is a french street artist who creates pixel artworks from old videogames (like “space invader” what a surprise).

Then, in your database, we have also :
Space Invader

I think these two ones should be merged into “Invader”.
It is the same kind of work.

Hey Stef, I noticed today there are two entries for UK artist Gent.
Most are listed under “Gent48” but there is also a couple under “Gent 48” with a space.

Please be aware everyone, Space Invader asked us to not document the works. Specifically sent us an e-mail about it a long time ago. Mainly because they built a game around it in an app where you scan/photograph his tiles and gain points. If we would document them, it would allow for cheating in ze game.
Understandably. Cool app by the way, it’s fun.
On the other side… he shares some info about locations on his IG account, so why would we stay quiet about his artworks?
Maybe we can add sth to the app/website like “Invader city” symbol? Just a random thought. But ban his artworks on his request sounds like a bridge too far no? His app is a game, pure fun… so “cheating” is a very big word?
Searching invaders, street art in general is a nice big experience, like seeing places where you otherwise wouldn’t go maybe. Does he expect that he just announces like on IG… I left some in Morocco… He really thinks that the people take random flights to morocco to random cities and search these invaders without clue of a specific location? Let’s be serious…?
Any idea what we gonna do with existing invaders on the platform?

I’ve been in touch with his team years ago and then they asked not to document them.
I’ve tried reaching out recently, but haven’t heard back from them yet. So best to wait with adding them

Another duplicate artist: Juandres Vera. He appears with an accent and without an accent. His name appears on his Instagram without his accent, so this would be the correct name.

Thanks for pointing this out. There’s was only one artwork under his accentless name, so I transferred it.
I actually met him last year and he’s a wonderful person.
Here’s a few I’ve found over the past few days while updating Japanese artworks:
Dotmaster → Dotmasters (see Insta)
HITOZUKI → HITOTZUKI (see Insta, although I think it should be capitalised if it’s showing lowercase?)
Whole 9 Crew → Whole9 (see Insta, the artwork marker has both Whole 9 Crew and Whole9, but it also has the individuals Hitch W9 and simo_w9, maybe it should only be WHOLE9 - capitalised?)
Faith 47 → Faith47 (or maybe it should be Faith XLVII)
And maybe a couple of suggested artist name changes (i.e. to take out the underscore that might actually be an Instagram username)
ba_bakid → Babakid
Mattybro_art → MattyBro Art
_dawal → Dawal
rudi_roudy_rondolfo → Rudi411
t_r_a_z → TRAZ
When searching for an underscore “_” you can see quite a few but these are just some suggestions. Thanks!
