Summer has almost finished, and it’s been a great one for the Street Art Cities team and community! We’ve hit a few massive milestones, including getting to over 60,000 artworks, releasing a new redesigned version of the app, and massively increasing the number of verified artists on the platform.
Here’s some of the updates we’ve made over the last couple of weeks:
App version 4.1
Coming soon to a phone near you (I hope!) is an update that builds on last month’s changes to the app, and introduces an all new artwork details page.
This new page makes it easier to quickly take action by combining the like and community notes actions into a single bar at the top of the page, shows off the hunter that uploaded the artwork, and shows any tags that were added. This gives you much more information about the artwork, and brings these pages up to par with the artwork pages on our website.
We’ve also started to turn the Explore tab into more of a hub, where you now can quickly navigate to some of the most popular verified artists, and search for hunters, in addition to artists, cities and tags.
Artist work inquiries
Verified artists can now add a button to their artist profile to let people send them inquiries for paid work. We hope this will help provide both our artists a new potential way to find walls, and our official partners an easier way to get in touch with artists to get them to their cities.
Some other worthwhile mentions
- We’ve introduced a first version of our artists top 50 list, which is ranked by how the community interacts with them through likes, looking at their artworks, and more.
- We’ve been slowly building out our group of community managers and quality control team members, and have been tweaking their dashboards with new features based on early feedback.
- Hunters can now specify exact geolocations when adding artworks, for that extra little bit of precision.
- We’ve continued to tweak how the feed and notifications work, and love seeing all the activity from across the globe!
