What info gets displayed on user pages?

I’m a bit confused about what info gets displayed in the left-hand infobox on a user page (where the user’s badges get displayed). Not sure if I’m just misunderstanding how this works, or if there’s a bug somewhere.

To take as examples the three most recent people to appear on the homepage feed as having uploaded new artworks:

  1. Geanina - Street Art Cities displays Badges, Hunter Activity, and Visitor Activity (as I would expect)
  2. GMax - Street Art Cities displays Badges and Visitor Activity (but no Hunter Activity)
  3. Punkiereteira - Street Art Cities displays Badges only

All three obviously have recent uploads, and the Contributions tab seems to be working fine for them, so the Hunter Activity being missing from an infobox seems slightly odd. I haven’t seen an option somewhere where we can control what activity appears here, and it doesn’t feel like a caching issue (Punkiereteira, for example, has been adding new artwork consistently over the last few weeks), so I’m not sure if I’m missing something, or whether something is going awry somewhere.

I believe the difference lies in the fact Geanina is a registered hunter while the other two are users who have been very active with their suggestions.

Aha. So does someone get the Hunter badge for having a suggestion accepted, rather than needing to be a registered Hunter?

It should be only for registered hunters, but I think for a while there was a bug where people that had suggestions accepted were also being issued that badge. That’s fixed now, but I’ve not retroactively removed these badges, because that felt mean :grin:
