Should we hunt the mural with commercial info?

Some mural with commercial info, including website address and brand name, which is a kind of advertisements.
For instance:

Should we hunt them?

Murals like those two I would say “no”, as they look like primarily advertising material.

However, often businesses will commission artists to paint their walls, but they do not look like advertising, nothing wrong with the ones that don’t look like advertising, I guess what I’m saying is, just because it’s commissioned by a business doesn’t exclude it.

These are two examples that I’ve shot and uploaded that were commissioned by the businesses that owned the building, but don’t appear as adverts.

So, that’s my rule of thumb, if it looks like an advertisement, don’t upload it.

Let me say something else about your Mayo Real Estate artwork. If I knew that the dog was not a part of the original signwriting I would definitely include it, It does look a different style to me. I’d maybe shoot it closer and exclude the advertising signs, if I thought it was a separate artwork.

Let’s see what others think.

Hi there,

Thanks for this question and I completely agree with Andrew. Both examples you gave, would trigger my interest.

Andrew’s example on the other hand, would definitely want to see that one.

So if looks like advertising, it’s a no go.
