More specifically:
When there is a comment added to an Community Note / Suggestion.
Example: added comment on “Comment” is wrong location, it’s in street x.
When the Super Hunter / Local Hunter solved the location issue, the comment is not longer relevant (which could be a bit misleading).
On Super Admin level, this comment could be deleted. I think for now we can’t (or at least not in an easy way)?
Another Issue which I want to bring under the spotlights is: when a Super Hunter / Admin upload an artwork in another city (through the suggestions feature), once uploaded it appears 4x in the timeline.
As I see now, at this moment: Tiny Time added a comment on https://streetartcities.com/markers/baa18901-b9df-44b0-aa04-b0c692abcb2e
it’s not visible on the artwork on the web, but on the APP timeline " added creation date " appears 4x
Or if the visitor hunter uploads 50 artworks to be reviewed
I’ve just started rolling out a first version of the review slow-down feature. There’s still details to be sorted out, I’m sure, but hopefully this already presents an improvement over the current situation.
Overall, this is the system:
- Edits to markers or new marker suggestions now always show up first only to the hunters of that city.
- If no action is taken within 5 days, the suggestion also shows up in the review queue for super hunters, country managers and admins.
Details on how it works:
- This applies to regular marker edits and new artwork suggestions. Removals, merges and small changes like updating tags still go out to all reviewers straight away.
- For edit suggestions, the original creator of the marker gets the ability to accept or decline the suggested change right away, in addition to the local hunters.
- It only kicks in when the artwork belongs to a city. Suggestions without a city are visible to super hunters, country managers and admins from the start.
- We’re rolling this out gradually, so it won’t apply to previously submitted suggestions, and the timing may be tuned as we learn how it works in practice.
I want to re-iterate the following: with the new suggestions system, many more people can suggest edits, which we believe ultimately will increase the quality of data in our system, but also opens up more of a possibility of sub-standard uploads.
Thankfully, everyone can now suggest edits to fix those, so we believe that ultimately will still lead to a net-positive result, but there will be a learning curve involved, as hunters are now collaborating with more people than just the other hunters in their city.
