I recently started as a SAC hunter in Barcelona. I have already made a few submissions, but I have some questions regarding publications in towns or small cities that do not yet exist in SAC.
My understanding is that in these cases I can upload the submissions without any problem, following the established guidelines. However:
If the artist is unknown, should I use Unknown-Barcelona even though the artwork is not located in Barcelona? Or can I simply use Unknown? I’m not entirely sure what the correct criterion is.
Will the submission be assigned to Barcelona? If the city is later added to SAC, how is this situation regularized or updated?
On a email, I have requested permission to be a hunter in other cities that already exist in SAC, such as Santa Coloma and Mollet. How should I proceed to ensure that submissions are assigned to the correct city?
Finally, if I have captures from cities that already exist in SAC, should I refrain from uploading them?
In terms of submitting for artworks that don’t exist, I actually don’t know if it’s a good idea to do that, other than through the ‘Suggest an artwork’ feature in the app. (happy to create a city if you have lots of artworks you want to hunt there)
If it’s close to an existing city (eg a city directly next to Barcelona), submitting it as a Barcelona artwork might be okay for now, we can always move those later if those cities are created.
On how to add an artwork to the correct (existing) city: once you have access to multiple cities as a hunter, you’ll be able to switch between the cities using the selector at the top left of the Hunter dashboard.
Hope that helps! Don’t hesitate to post if you have any other questions!
The cities that do not yet exist in SAC are located near Barcelona. Regarding my question about using “Unknown-Barcelona” or simply “Unknown”, what do you think would be the best option?
I have also emailed Mjose requesting hunter permissions for two existing cities near Barcelona: Santa Coloma de Gramenet and Mollet del Vallès.
In addition, I suggested creating a new city for Sant Adrià de Besòs, as I have already uploaded several captures there and there may be more to come in the future.
Can these requests also be made through the forum, or should they only be handled by email?
