When adding a marker with photos from different photographers, you can add the photo credits to each individual photo. In the final marker page only the photo credits of the first photo are shown.
Example: Menu
First photo is by Lars Pedersen, second and third by me
Did you specify your name on your photographs by actually tagging the photos manually. We find you have to do this to make both photographer names show. It would be ideal if untagged photos defaulted to the hunter, but this doesnât appear to be the case.
Hereâs one example where we have done that and both photographers names show.
We can change the default behaviour - my thinking in the past was that it might be dangerous to assume that itâs a picture from the hunter. It should ideally be, but we have definitely had hunters in the past taking images from Instagram or elsewhere, which of course already isnât great, but showing their name as the photographer might make that situation worse, perhaps?
I might be overcomplicating things though, so please let me know what you think.
That is a good point Thomas, perhaps a mid-way compromise would be to just change the message you have on the Add Artwork screen.
Where you have
âAdd images of the artwork here. Donât forget to add the name of the photographer if you havenât taken these yourself.â
Perhaps add some other text something like
âAdd images of the artwork here. Donât forget to add the name of the photographer if you havenât taken these yourself.
If tagging one photo with a photographer name, all photos should be tagged (eg add your own name if some are your photos).â
Perhaps someone else can think of better words to use âŚ..
OK, so I went back into the edit screen for the marker and saw that my photos (the second and third) no longer contained my name in the credit field. Strange, as I took special care in adding them. After (re)entering them, it was shown correctly.
I normally only use my own photos, but in this particular case I got sent a better picture (without the lift in frame) by the artist.
