It’s not been a quit spring for the SAC team so far! Beyond visiting multiple cities, helping dozens of artists claim their profiles, and launching the ‘Best of the Month’ awards on the SAC platform, our tech team also has been working to optimise the Street Art Cities mobile app.
Version 4.2 will be hitting the stores in the next few days, and bring these new features:
Moving links to the Hunter & Artist dashboards
Previously, there was a tab in the app for hunters to manage their artworks on their phones. We got quite a lot of reports that this wasn’t working properly - sometimes the page would throw away your edits without a warning, or sometimes it would just display a white screen. Sorry about that!
We want editing your artworks on the go to work well, so until we build a better version of this tab, we’ve replaced it with some links that open up the web version of the hunter and artists dashboards, accessible right from the app’s home screen, just above the world feed:
In the future, we’ll also add additional links in this bar, to get quick access to other tools and pages that might be helpful.
Viewing and editing your artist profile
Lots of artists are claiming their profiles on SAC these days! To make the app more useful for them as well, we’ve made it possible to see your artist profile in the app, and quickly go to the page in the artist dashboard where you can edit it, without leaving the app.
Clusters be clusterin’
This one has been a long time coming: we now have proper cluster support in the app, allowing you to easily see all the artworks in a location, even if they appear very close together. Thanks @Andrew_Haysom for proposing this change, and to @Noa_Heutz for implementing it, which wasn’t trivial!
