Hi everyone! I’m Rin, a new hunter based in London, having joined a few months ago, and I’ve really been enjoying learning how to use the app and website.
It’s amazing to see so many people sharing the same passion for street art. Since using the platform, I’ve started learning so much about the artists themselves rather than just admiring their work. I only wish I had discovered this community sooner, as I travel often and have photos of past finds I would have loved to contribute!
I want to make sure I’m following the right community etiquette: when visiting another city, is using the ‘Suggest an Artwork’ feature in the app the preferred way to share finds so local teams can review them?
Happy to help wherever I can while respecting each city’s local workflow!
The Kingston Street Art Festival is on this coming weekend (22nd & 23rd August), you can watch the artists paint over the weekend. I’m hoping to go to Kinston on Monday 24th, hopefully they will all be finished by then! I can’t go over the weekend as I have 2 other events to attend lol.
@Rinbo Welcome! To answer your question, yes, the Suggest an Artwork feature is the preferred way to share finds that aren’t already showing on the map.
I found a cool paste-up in Camden Town before. At first glance, I thought it was just a poster, but looking closer, it seemed like it was painted directly on the wall. After doing some research at home, I realized it was actually a paste-up. Since it seems we shouldn’t post paste-ups on the platform, I decided to skip it, even though it looked great.
Hi, Ibrahim! I find it a bit tricky to upload suggestions using only my phone. Once I submit a suggestion, am I able to edit it later on the website or app? I haven’t been able to find where to do that.
Also, if a city doesn’t currently have an active hunter (for example Tokyo), will my suggested artwork still be reviewed?
Thanks!
I’ve used the option of suggesting the artwork and it seems that even though in certain places there are no active hunters, there are country managers who can review and accept the artwork you’ve submitted. Also, I believe now even the super-hunters can do that as well.
