Next couple to be moved out of the [‘No city info’ queue](https://streetartcities.com/community/missing-data?tab=no-city): - [Breaking Frontiers by Zurik - Street Art Cities](https://streetartcities.com/markers/c994f65a-12dd-417d-8b84-ec8615ac584c) - [Artwork by Does - Street Art Cities](https://streetartcities.com/markers/399a83e3-b81d-4348-ad39-b01ec29d8c8d) These are both currently listed with addresses in Les Abymes, but I suspect we’d be better treating [the agglomeration](https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unit%C3%A9_urbaine_de_Pointe-%C3%A0-Pitre-Les_Abymes) as a single entity. ---

In fact, there are two cities : Pointe-a-Pitre (most important city in the island) and Les Abymes (very close suburbian city). @TinyTim and administrators can decide what to choose. ---

My working theory for cases like this is that where two cities form an agglomeration like this (per [the French Wikipedia article for the combined entity](https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unit%C3%A9_urbaine_de_Pointe-%C3%A0-Pitre-Les_Abymes)) we’re going to be better just having one City unless/until locals ask to split it up, otherwise we end up with all sorts of awkward cases of artworks getting assigned to the wrong one based on distance etc. But I’ve no strong opinions on this specific case, as we’ve no other artworks currently from the island at all, so if we want to just create Les Abymes separately for now so we can assign these two artworks to there, that would be perfectly fine too. ---

@Tony : I agree with you. Les Abymes is the real official city where these two artworks can be found. _(To take an example near Belgium , we have the agglomeration Lille/Roubaix/Tourcoing (northern France) but 3 cities : Lille , Roubaix and Tourcoing)_ ---

I’m not sure what’s happening with the no-city URLs, but the direct links from the message at the top of the thread still work, so I’ve used those to request a move of each of these to the newly created City. ---

Yes, direct links at the top of the thread still work . But not the ones in the city page. Moreover, the two artworks are still on the “no city” page even if they have a city. ---

I think there are two distinct issues here: one was that those two artworks didn’t yet have the city attached to them. That’s now fixed, so they no longer appear on the [Fill The Gaps page](https://streetartcities.com/community/missing-data?tab=no-city). And now that they have a city attached, the links to them from the map seem to be working correctly. But, there’s a wider issue with how artworks that don’t have a City, but do have a location, sometimes appear on the map. If, for example you start at [a zoomed out view of Panama City](https://streetartcities.com/cities/panama-city?map=8.9840426,-79.523935,7), and then try to click on ‘Motete Weaving Process’ SSW from that, it constructs a URL with a ‘`/cities/no-cite/`’: [https://streetartcities.com/cities/no-site/markers/f31e8544-0ffd-4c6e-a451-b8d9d6ecab34](https://streetartcities.com/cities/no-site/markers/f31e8544-0ffd-4c6e-a451-b8d9d6ecab34) which doesn’t resolve. But if you start from the global map with no city already in the URL, and navigate to that same location, the URL for this artwork is the plain [`streetartcities.com/markers/f31e8544-0ffd-4c6e-a451-b8d9d6ecab34`](http://streetartcities.com/markers/f31e8544-0ffd-4c6e-a451-b8d9d6ecab34) version, without the ‘`/cities/no-cite/`’, which works. I’ve never totally understood these two different artwork views (one flushed left on the map, and one flushed right), but hopefully I’ve given enough info here for @thomas to be able to track down the problem. ---

Thanks for looking into this! I’ve changed it so that clicking on a map marker for a marker that is not attached to a city goes to /markers/{id}, rather than /cities/no-site/markers/{id}, which doesn’t exist. ---
